Movie World

Today we spent time at Movie World... Not as good as Wet and Wild but ok. The weather was also very hot (30 degrees) and muggy, no sign of any effects of Cyclone Yasi.
The first show we saw was Journey to the Centre of the Earth in 4D It was pretty cool, especially when the dinosaur slobbered on us!
The next show we saw was the Holly Wood Stunt Driver which was also good, actually the stunts the drivers did were pretty amazing. We were sitting in the shade watching, but with the heat off the tarmac it was HOT! Lilly loved the stunt show and wanted to see it again.

We also tried out the Batman 2 ride not to be mistaken with the Batman Tower ride! This was a simulation and was pretty cool, especially as it was air conditioned. Katie-Lynne wanted to go on the Superman ride, but was disappointed to find she wasn't tall enough. We've discovered she has a thrill seeker side. Any ride that is fast and stomach dropping she wants to go on. She was even trying to get one of her brothers to go on the Batman Tower but no luck there.
This surprises me as Katie-Lynne is so particular about things and quiet. While Lilly is adventurous and dynamic, yet Lilly has been very cautious when it comes to experiencing the rides.
After wandering around all morning we were ready for a break and a few ice slushies certainly hit the spot to keep that heat at bay.

I think one of our favourite things as a family was the dodgem cars. There's allot to be said about being able to ram into the family member of your choice, especially when they don't know you're coming!
We also spent quite a bit of time in the kids area with the milder kids ride. Katie-Lynne and Henry loved the roller coaster and went on there countless times. Lilly even dared a go. She sat next to me and I thought she was going to stop breathing, she kept sucking in her breath and holding on to me. But when we stopped she declared that it was fun and a had a few more goes. We even got Nathan on once, he seems to like his rides of the mild and steady variety.

This ride is the kids version of the Batman Tower - the girls loved it.

After a hot sweaty day it was off to our accommodation for a swim in the pool and a spa.
