The Gold Coast

On Tuesday we flew to the Gold Coast from Hobart. After leaving home in Launceston at 3:30pm we finally arrived at our accommodation at about 11pm Queensland time (midnight Tassie time). This morning I awoke to find Katie-Lynne and Lilly having a swim before breakfast. We decided to stay at a house rental rather than a motel or high rise so we could fit everyone in. With our own pool, living areas that open to the decking and pool, three bathrooms, pool table and spa I think the kids are quite happy.


Today we decided to go to wet and wild. I didn't take that many photos as I was too busy having fun. But this ride was a favourite with all the kids.
We were all a little water logged by the end of the day. Henry even amazed me and went on the jet stream with Jakob. That was where they just lie back with their arms crossed and just drop!!Nathan decided one of his favorites was the calypso ride where you hop into an inflatable tube and just ride around nice and gently with the current.
Katie-Lynne and Lilly decided at the end of the day that they needed a fancy drink after all that water.

It certainly was a fun but exhausting day. Though Katie-Lynne decided after tea that she hadn't had enough water for the day and could she please have another swim before bed....
