Missionary Moments

We have been working harder though, with plans to increase that daily. We managed to meet with one older lady, she was a new investigator a few weeks ago, and she came to Church, she is now a progressing investigator, but all our other progressing investigators couldn't meet, and every one of our PI's were not home, so... we will keep trying. It was cool, my companion and I were thinking and planning on how to simply get more people to teach, and President Zinkes very last hanashi (talk) was sent with that very exact subject. It was simply, 'contact more people' sort of thing, but we feel more motivated and confident to do so now.
We got caught in the rain several times this week, well and truly rainy season right now, but the forecast this year is looking like we will not get anything too extreme (super hot weather, typhoons, tsunamis, etc)

We went to the big Himeji festival thing Monday and Tuesday last week. It was fun to walk around and see everyone dressed up and get stopped by random groups of excitable high school girls for photo's,.....

On Saturday we were invited by the youth to do be judges in a cooking competition. We helped them shop at like 5:30pm, then were just hanging around upstairs when one of my old investigators showed up to come to game night (which we do on Saturdays at 7pm), because I didn't tell him it was cancelled. He stopped learning with us a while ago, mainly ..... but still a good friend...... came up just before that because she wanted to hear us practice a lesson for her. I haven't mogi'd to a member since 1st transfer, but we were going to anyway when the old investigator showed up. She got him to sit down and listen to us 'practice', but we taught our first lesson, which can be pretty powerful, and it was and it turned into a real lesson with everyone sharing heartfelt testimony and stuff. We closed with prayer and then Bishop came and talked to the guy for half hour. It went well. ..... it was definitely super awesome. It's cool when we have no intention or direction , but simply a bunch of random circumstances can end up with results like that. Members are essential to this work, I think you should all refer all your friends right now......

Photo of Elder Rowlings and other missionaries and Bishop at the Judge panel for the dinner. Delicious!
