Missionary Moments

Back in the internet cafe this week, the other place just didn't really work. This will be my last week here though as... I am transferring! I knew I was going to, but it is always exciting to get the email. I am heading back up to Kyoto, near the east edge of the mission, to 'Otsu'. ......The big disappointment for me however is that Page choro is being transferred too. .....Lots of stuff to get done this week to soften the blow and lessen the damage. Although things had slowed, our numbers weren't terrible, so just feeling kinda sad about all that right now.
This week was pretty good. Interviews went alright, although of course I had to be sick Tuesday through Friday, not enough to stay in (it never is), but enough to make it not fun working. So Tuesday I was sniffing and snuffing all through training and interviews from Kaicho, not a good dai ichi inshou (first impression) I am sure. And I had almost nothing to say to him during the interview besides normal conversation. He called me awesome and trustworthy and cool things like that, but at the end he prayed for us and said 'as we transfer Rowlings choro...', I almost laughed, but it seemed like he didn't need to wait long to decide I needed to move on from Himeji.
I did a massive clean of the apartment during our spare time on Wednesday, I think the amount of dust might have been affecting me, cleaned everyone's futons and Page choro and I bought a bunch of cleaning supplies and gave the apartment the deep clean it really needed. Much more pleasant to be in right now.
We housed into a really nice old lady who invited herself to Church, she didn't come but said that she wanted to learn with us and we can come back anytime. Someone we can follow up with this week I guess.  With lessons and other activities, we really didn't get much more finding time than that though.
Friday's eikaiwa only hit about 15, a few less than last week, was able to give two people lessons and Church tours though. Not new investigators but a lot more people that can become new investigators (except for the blasted white wash...)
Saturday we did the english service we do every week and then I went with Stevenson choro for a bit ..... and then with Childs choro out to fireworks, that was really fun! We didn't get to stay to the end, but they were pretty cool.
Sunday at Church was awesome. I told the AMWAY lady that I might be transferring this week at the BBQ last week, and she came to Church with her family (Husband and little kid). So we had a family at Church! She hadn't shown to much interest in what we were sharing previously, but her heart is softening and it looks like she will let us teach her now....
After Church we went straight home to get changed and go to the guy who we do English service for's BBQ. It was like a 45min ride, but a really nice place. There were like 30 people there, ranging in age from about 22-35. Was a lot of fun and we made a load of friends. Some of them will be coming to our games night this Saturday and maybe Eikaiwa, they were all really impressed with Page choro's athletic ability, he is good at all sports, .....
Yeah, so it was a fun week. A good last week I guess. .....
