Missionary Moments

First of all, I am not transferring, which has made me very happy. I still have more to do in this area, and people to baptise.... I get to have another six weeks with my companion, which is perfectly fine with the both of us, as we work together pretty well...... We have different interests and ideas, but the personalities work well......
My week has been pretty good, we had 5 people come to church, which is a new record for me. We also got a new investigator and some solid PIs. Things are going alright for us, but enough happens to keep us humble and relying on the Lord.
It was really wet Monday and Tuesday last week, and while we were out riding to do some finding I tried to with my bike tire mount a metal grate and my whole bike slipped out from under me. I fell off and landed on my knee pretty hard, was limping for the next day and a bit, but it is fine now, just a bit bruised and scraped. It was kind of embarrassing, as I consider myself to be a skilled rider currently, and that was kind of a rookie mistake.
We had a barbecue with members yesterday to close out fast. It was really quite fun, and despite the fact that we ate like yakisoba and okonamiyaki it reminded me a lot of home...... okonamiyaki ..... is like pancakes with cabbage and meat and stuff inside. Really nice, ..... goes far. ...... My joys on the mission are first the actual missionary work, like teaching and finding interested people, second the food......
