Hobart

With Jason working in Hobart these past 6 months, our summer this year is a little different.... so we thought we would head down, check out Hobart and spend some time with him and check out his unit and where he lives.
We firstly stopped at the Mona Art Gallery as we had heard lots of reports about it, many said that we would need at least a couple of hours if not more to see it - we were there about 1 hour. Wasn't really the place for the teens. Though Katie really enjoyed the artwork and also looking and who made it and what it was about.
We then went to Eastlands and did a bit of shopping before heading to Jason's work at UTAS Hobart. Then to his unit. He had told me about his unit where he stays with another church member who works interstate, - that it was in Sandy Bay and that it is small.... after seeing it, it is small but it is in the most beautiful surrounds. It is directly across from Sandown Park and beaches and a playground. We had a great time on the beaches and in the playground and also meeting his neighbours.

I asked the girls to stand in front of their favourite design - this was Katie's
this was Lilly's - we thought it looked like a toilet bowl!!
a bit further along the boardwalk
sitting near the old gun towers and looking across the bay
Balancing on the fairy ring - even Jason got in on the action :)

On one of the many beaches
The next day we hung around Jason's unit and spent time on the beach and in the park and had lunch with Jason before heading home. But before we left Hobart we needed to make one more stop - Cadbury's of course for some sustenance for the long drive home!
I definitely think another trip to visit Jason is on the cards....
I asked the girls to stand in front of their favourite chocolate....
