Yesterday I was feeling adventurous and made a sponge cake, I haven't tried to make one for about 10 years as each one I tried was a bit of a flop. Anyway at tea time one of the kids said it was really yummy, then Katie-Lynne piped up and said that, "Mum made it with her own hands". Lilly then replied, "no, she didn't she used a spoon!". Oh, the wisdom of 4 year olds...
Today I took Nathan, Aneika, Katie-Lynne and Lilly to Old Mac's Farm to the anumal nursery. Katie-Lynne and Lilly have been bugging me for ages to go.....
Jakob and Henry weren't that interested in going and Jason was off gaining his "Bronze Medallion", so that meant we could get in for a 'family ticket'. The girls loved it though Katie-Lynne got a little freaked out by the ducks wandering everywhere and following her for food. They all especially loved the guinea pigs,..... and when Aneika and Nathan found out that they were giving some away they hounded me relentlessly for one, ......I didn't give in.
The highlight for Katie-Lynne and Lilly was the pony ride. I thought that Lilly would be a bit freaked out, but no she got up on that Pony and afterwards told me it was "REALLY good, but a little bit bumpy." Nathan opted for the buggy ride.

Fun! My boys loved it there too. After 4 days in a row there for work, I was a bit over it :) Its a great place for the kids though.
I can't wait until Darcy is old enough to take. Looks like fun!
