Today Aneika turned 13!! Now we have two teenagers in the house.......
One of our family traditions is that when it's your birthday you have to sit in the birthday chair and have a photo taken with every present. Aneika gave me strict instructions that I wasn't to put on the blog any photos of her in her pyjamas opening her presents. Well...... I had a look at them and seeing as Lilly is in this one helping Aneika and you really can't see Aneika's pj's I'll just put it in..... Aneika was thoroughly spoilt today!!
One present that Aneika received was a hair straightener. She has wanted one for ages and has had to hold out until now..... so the first thing she did this morning was to tame that unruly hair.....
In the evening Nan and Pop Rowlings came over as well as the Davis family - Tracey, Chris Ellen and Jono (Tracey is Jason's sister) and Simon, Simone, Sarra, Hallie and Oliver. So along with all of us it was a noisy full house. As you can see it took a while to light 13 candles on the cake.....
Just as the Triffitts were about to leave I grabbed a photo of them with Aneika and Katie-Lynne and Lilly.
As you can see Aneika is looking pretty happy at the end of a good birthday...
Following in Simone's footsteps I thought that I would add 10 things that I love about Aneika....

10. Being able to talk to her as a friend rather than just a child

It was a wonderful evening, especially as I didn't have to cook and Aneika is certainly turning into a gorgeous (both inside and out) young lady.
Hey Happy Birthday Aneika for the Sunday. Looks like you had heaps of fun! Now we know who we can get to help do our Beauty Nights in Young Women's from now on! Cool that you got a hair straightner they are so good to help tame dodgy hair :)
