The Barbecue was pretty fun!..... It was a good opportunity
to make friends, practice Japanese and eat food. I think I ate star fish and
some other weird things, but it was delicious......
Investigators are going alright. We fasted with the guy
who is (hopefully) getting baptised in two weeks, and it was a very good
experience for him! Almost nothing in his way now. We Will be able to pull a
baptism this transfer. We didn't find anyone new, again, this week, but set up
a few lessons for this coming week. Apart from that we had a few appointments
fall through and there were some other disappointments, but a good week still.
So that is almost all my week summed up there. ..... we have also been working with a really old less
active lady who has made us her pet missionaries. Every night she calls me up
and complains/ talks about a bunch of stuff. She is really lonely, so we want
to help, and the ward can't seem to do anything. But aside for some good
Japanese practice (old person Japanese...:0) not much is coming from that. It
gives us a chance for service though (listening to old people, which is
actually a legitimate service activity in Japan, because there are sooooo
many...).
We got 3 people to church as a companionship and 8 all up in
Himeji, it was hard, we have been working harder than I have previously done, my whole mission, consistently, and not number results
yet, but we certainly feel good from our efforts. The mission reached almost
400 but it was still far short of 500 that we had the goal for. .....but hopefully we can get this '100' baptisms one. The
mission should be able to do at least 50, 100 with the Lords help!
