My week has been pretty good. Transfers always throw
everything out a whack for a few days, but my new companion and I are getting
used to each other, and working well....
Aside from one Japanese Elder who I was in the MTC with, in
terms of transfers I am the oldest missionary in the district now, and one of
the oldest in the Zone (I am older than both the Zone Leaders...). And I am
only 8th transfer. ...... I guess I hit my year mark today or
tomorrow, it feels like it has been longer than that since I've left, but at
the same time, time has really flown. The best half of my mission is before me,
one where I can actually handle myself and know what I need to do to more fully
rely of Christ and the power of his atonement. It's going to be good, I'm sure.
We taught only 4 lessons this week, but as that is more than
my whole time in Miki, I am always grateful. We had a cool experience. Last
week we prayed and I felt prompted to return to that area where we found the
old man I mentioned in last email, and we did and found a guy with interest. We
came back to teach him Wednesday, and it ends up he has a Less Active friend who
has been searching for missionaries for a long time, that gave him a letter (in
perfect English) to give to us. ..... We came back to teach him again
Saturday and received another mystery letter.....
This should be another good week of work. I look forward to
it.
In my 1 year anniversary package, could you send .....
maybe some Cadburys? I can get mostly everything
I need in Japan I think. I need new shoes, they are finally starting to look
like I've worn them for a year straight. I think it's cool, but the Mission
president doesn't like tatty shoes..... But shoes are a bit difficult to send, and to size. I just need to find some
here that will fit my feet. Japanese sizes range from pixie to elven, but man
shoes are hard to come by....
After an all you can eat at the end of transfers
Star Wars Rice??
The tree he bought.... and Ammon
Beautiful Spring blossoms in Japan
