Missionary Moments

Last week Jakob wrote...

The Baptism went really well, I gave the talk, performed the Baptism and got all everything sorted without a single problem! It was a really spiritual meeting.....
With a high always come a bit of a low though, the next day the new lady we found let us teach her a lesson and then told us she wasn't at all interested in hearing a new religion, but that we were better than the Jehovah's witnesses (who are actually really common in Japan), who had tried to teach her too. Then we had interviews with President Zinke and training on Wednesday, which was pretty good,...
Language has it's good days and it's bad days, last few were good, but before that it was bad. I am much more confident with it now, and even though my vocabulary is limited to that of an 8 year old religious preacher, I can make myself understood, and understand basic or gospel things pretty well.

This week he wrote:

Kind of a funny P-Day today, ... We went to the chapel to use the computer, but it broke on us... so are in a kinda dodgy internet gaming lounge doing emails.
This message might be a bit short, not sure if I will get a chance to come back later and email or if this is it for the day....
Our recent convert is great, received the Aaronic priesthood yesterday, if his work can be sorted out properly, he will become a strong member, he bore his testimony again in Church, and he did a really good job, he has the gift of the gab, from what I can understand of Japanese....
Dendou is Japanese for missionary work, so dendou efforts are my missionary work efforts.

The cotton field after Jakob and his companion helped pull everything out for the winter.
The baptisimal programme - if you can't read it your not trying hard enough.
