Last Wednesday Nathan turned 17.... he had made plans for how he would like to spend the day and what we would eat for tea and what sort of cake he would have.... but alas the dreaded gastro hit our home last week and things did not go exactly as planned!! I did say to him that at least this would be one birthday that he would remember.....
Despite the sickness in the home I think he had an ok day. At least his siblings were all home and they could spend the day with him...Jakob even sent him a card from Japan that has a voice trying to say 'happy birthday' in English - but doesn't really succeed....
