Missionary Moments - Elder Nathan Rowlings. Philippines Legazpi Mission

..... It's a bit different learning Tagalog as opposed to Japanese at Provo MTC, as the MTC is in the Philippines, and all of the Filipino missionaries speak Tagalog, so I'm improving heaps. I got the language pattern down. Verb, Actor, Object, Location, but like there's more to it then that but I wont bore you with it. But in my mission the locals speak Bicolano, so I will probably learn that in the field maybe...
..... It rains a bit here, not like a lot, just a bit, but it just makes it more humid, doesn't really cool it down at all.
Yes I'm using my sense of humour with the other missionaries, I'm pretty popular with the other elders, everyone laughs when i joke around.
The next lot of missionaries came in last Friday, lots of Filipinos, like 5 Americans, 1 Australian, 1 Samoan (from Australia). I get along with all of them as well, there's two Filipinos in my room, So I've been messing around with them. And they help me with my Tagalog, and I help them with any English words that they are missing.
No one snores in my room, .....
Anyway My week has been pretty good, we went to Immigration today, to get Visas and stuff sorted out so we can be a Missyonero (pronounced munga). Then after we did that we went to an American war memorial place, I took some photos and I will hopefully send them. Went to Rustins as well today, and bought a heap of junk food, so hopefully that will last me for a week or two, speaking of weeks or two, next week I get to go Proselyting. All Language Training Misionaries get to go proselyting twice while at the MTC, so next week I'll tell you how that went.
Also on new years eve, i got some food poisoning from the lunch (my chicken wasnt cooked)...., but felt real sick, ..... anyway, still feeling a little bit sick from it still, but nothing so bad. I'm not sure when I emailed last so I'll tell you about new years. There was like fireworks going off everywhere, and the neighbours to the MTC were setting some off, and us being on the third floor got to see them go off real close. That was pretty cool. My companion sprained or dislocated one of his fingers while playing volleyball (those polys play too rough) so yeah, but its pretty much better. Not sure what else has happened since last week.....
