Missionary Moments

My past week has been pretty good again. It has been raining a lot though, including today, which isn't as fun.
On Monday S. cancelled because his work went over time, and we haven't had a chance to meet him again, so hopefully today will prove to be really good with him.
The week was a little bit slow, we did our usual English class service for the N.'s and we had a new student at Eikaiwa, as well as a few phone calls during the week asking about it, so hopefully the numbers there will be increasing too.
We met with O. twice and she finally agreed to come to Church! That was about a year or more of effort and invitation from missionaries. She just up and changed her mind about all her little excuses and things that got in the way of Church......
Sunday was pretty fun as a result,.....
I can't think of much else exciting that occurred during the week, just some good visits with PIs and a new investigator that seems pretty strong, who we finally got to meet with on Saturday night, after a few weeks of cancels. Also it looks like at least some of our Chinese friends will be coming back at the end of this week, so we can start meeting with them again. I'd better brush up on my Chinese.
To aggravate my trunkiness, which hasn't been bad at all (I thought), on Sunday we had a RM from Tokyo visit and he took one look at me at the end of Church and said (in perfect English) You're trunky aren't you! No idea how he figured that out, but that evening I got a phone call from the APs telling me that I will have my going home interview after Zone Conference this Friday. President Welch needs to do it earlier because of the amount of people going home. Wow.....
As for shrines, they are everywhere in Japan, you cannot even walk a few steps without tripping over a small butsudan or running into shrine gate.....
Japanese food wise, maybe just guide me to the Asian section of Woolworths, and I will see what is good, but you could look for Okonomiyaki sauce or for kimchi (spicy pickled cabbage) or barely tea. Maybe buy a Japanese cook book. I left mine in Otsu.
