Missionary Moments

Transfers are always a busy week. It did feel quite unusual leaving Otsu, especially with the thought that that will probably be my last transfer, I feel like I will get to spend my last 12 weeks here. It is a good place, and looks pretty nice. The station is an old theme park they converted, so it still has a few unusual things here and there, but it makes it fun to walk around, and a good place to talk to people. Elder H. is a lot of fun to run around with, but I have had to get used to being Senior companion again. I was senior with Elder M., except he still did all the hard stuff, now it is up to me again and I realize I do not have my Japanese man safety net. However it is okay! And the best thing about this area is that it has a phone. I love phones.
Probably the biggest disappointment from transfers is going from a nice teaching pool, to a rather small and somewhat difficult one. We didn't have too much luck contacting the existing investigators either. Right now there is one older lady, (who actually came to Church for the first time upon our invitation) and another Filipino guy called K.. In fact, if you cloned my good friend Kev., gave him a few more years, and then turned his hobby into making YouTube info-videos, then they are the exact same.......
The ward is really nice, but smaller than Otsu. In fact Otsu is the biggest ward I have been in in Japan. Kurashiki has potential, but some problems in the past,.....
We are emailing in an internet cafe, so it is a bit costly, but free ice cream.
I am not too sure what else to report. I think I have a few pictures from around the place. The apartment is really nice, probably the nicest one I have had so far. It comfortably holds us 4 missionaries. I am sharing the apartment with an American (Elder H., from Washington state, USA), a Brazilian (Elder L.) and a Japanese (Elder Y.), so it is the exact same mix as before, 4 different countries, 4 good friends. A nice place to be....
