Yesterday Katie turned 13.... so now yes we are the parents of 4 teenagers and 2 that are not. Some parents who have younger children ask me what it's like when they become teenagers and I usually tell them that it's more emotionally demanding than the physical demands of when they were young. But it also depends upon the temperament of their children.
Katie has always been an extremely sweet child - very loving and caring and she is still like this except in a teenage version. I love to spend time with her, go shopping with her and have deep and meaningful conversations with her. She is very open and loves to share how things are with her. I feel so very blessed to be her mother :)
