Missionary Moments

This week Elder Rowlings wrote.....

Thanks for the birthday wishes. We are planning on going to Yakiniku  as a yonin that night if we can get away with it, probably miss out on lunch and take an hour or so in the evening to celebrate me. It's good that we all get along really well in the apartment.
This week was the same as it has always been. We worked hard to try and meet the 400 goal for non-members to church as a mission, the previous highest was 150 or something, we didn't manage to pull anyone despite ringing through the entire area book and helping members to invite friends, but the mission managed to get 396... they wanted two per companionship... so it looks like if we each got our two, the goal would have been reached. It was double the previous highest though, so that was good.
....I am really happy about the Tasmanian pins, they actually have meaning, and are a good conversation starter with people (Tasmania is famous).
.....We had stake conference over the last two days. It was pretty amazing. President Monson asked for all missionaries to attend the Saturday session as well as Sunday. It was all focused on missionary work and temples. I am surprised how much I can understand from the speakers now. There was a really good spirit there, the Stake President spoke really powerfully....
They did it... KFC chips... what next Japan??!
