Today is Jakob's 20th birthday. It's a little different celebrating it with him when he is so far away in Japan,....We sent a birthday parcel a few weeks back and he received it last week - full of Tasmanian things - I even managed to find him Huon pine after shave. It's always tricky to try and find things to put in his parcels - they need to be reasonably light and small. I have discovered that Cadbury's chocolate weighs down the parcel quite a bit :)
On Sunday evening we celebrated Jakob's birthday with family - we even had birthday cake, and then sent him photos just to let him know that we were thinking of him. It's amazing to think that we now have a 20 year old son, that is another country, speaking another language and whom we have not seen for 10 months.
