Photography with Helen

With uni finished for the year and exams finished I now have a little more time to do those things on my 'to do' list. Earlier in the year I purchased a good camera, but have not have time as yet to learn what it really does. So yesterday Helen and I went for a walk at the Gorge and she taught me a little of what I can do with the camera. I had no idea it could do so much! So here's a few of my amateur happy snaps with help from Helen:)
She taught me how to take pictures of running water, so it looks like it is running
And how to crop my pictures with the camera... cool peacock feathers...
And I love the picture I took of this bug on a flower...
And how to put things in perspective, when I take pictures. The only thing now is there is sooooo much to remember, it's going to take allot of practice but I'm sure it will be allot of fun.

Tammy, your photos look great! Keep on practising and read your book to back up what we talked about - aperture, shutter speed, composition, rule of thirds etc.
I'm looking forward to our next outing!
