Jakob - Goodbye High School

Leavers week is over for grade 10s at Queechy High.... its amazing to think my oldest has left high school and is ready to venture further out into the wide world. Jakob is an amazing son who always does his best.... what more can I say... I am one proud mum. Here's a few snapshots of his last week.

Ready for the Leavers Dinner in his new suit and tie....

On Wednesday afternoon the plan had been for him and his friends to meet at Princess Square for photos before heading off to the leavers dinner in their limo, but it rained, and poured...so his friends came up with the idea of going to Kmart and having photos taken around the Christmas tree.. the shoppers did have a good look.

Jakob and three of his best friends - Dayne, Robbie and Michael - all spruced up.

I gave Katie and Lilly the camera for a while and found this random shot, looks like an add for menswear suits!

Jakob and his girlfriend - his date - Perri

A lovely shot at the Christmas tree with the butchers in the background...

Last night was presentation evening at Queechy, Jakob received the 'Old Scholars Bursary for Further Education' award and also an award for academic Excellence.

Today at the leavers assembly he also received the award for the 'Most Likely to Succeed'.

This award says
'Well done you have been chosen as the most likely to succeed! Maybe it's your brains, maybe it's your charm and good looks, but you have been chosen as the most likely to make something of yourself. Don't let us down!'
And here he is in Queechy uniform for the last time!
