Family

On Monday Pop Triffitt passed away, and even though it is sad to lose him he has had a wonderful life and an effect on so many it has been a blessing to be his granddaughter. Yesterday was his funeral and I didn't really take any photos. But the service was beautiful and a wonderful look at his life and who he was.
After the funeral there was eats and reminiscing and time to talk about the man we loved.

The one photo I managed to take is of Aneika and her brothers and cousins Josh and Alister.

Today we had a family gathering at Kim and Deidre's place to just have time together and catch up with each other before those family members that live elsewhere travelled back to their various homes.

Jason pretending he was a big kid and riding Simon's little motorbike!!
Lilly strutting her stuff after riding the quad bike...

My Nan
My Favourite Memories
Staying at my grandparents place with my cousins Felicity and Rebecca and jumping on the back of Pop's land rover and heading down to the river flats. We would yell and sing at the top of our lungs. Or Pop would drive up one of the steep hills on the farm and we would see who could stay on the longest without slipping off... no holding on of course!!
Or from about the age of 7 Pop would put the land rover into neutral and tell me to steer while he would get onto the back and chuck hay bales off for the cows to eat. I distinctly remember once nearly driving it into the river!!
So many memories but the one thing that stands out about Pop is his sense of humour all my memories are of him laughing and having fun with us kids. My kids called him 'Piggy' Poppy as he would snort at them and tickle them whenever he saw them.
