Time in Ulverstone

This past week we thought we would take the opportunity to head to Ulverstone and spend some time with my parents. I didn't take allot of photos but on Monday we took our time getting there. Stopping in to see Nan and Pop Triffitt in Deloraine, then to Ashgrove cheese factory for a little cheese tasting, then to the Bluff for lunch, and then to visit my Nan van Hoorn (mum's mum) in Devonport. Then finally on to Ulverstone.
The weather was pretty good and we spent the afternoon at the beach and after a walk in the evening we took Nathan, Henry, Katie-Lynne and Lilly to see the penguins. It was a clear night and we saw a few but it was freezing. Lilly and Katie-Lynne didn't really make the distance and ended up back in the car to wait with me while the boys watched the penguins finally coming up the beach about 10pm.
Tuesday we spent the time at the various parks in Ulverstone before heading home early afternoon (as Jakob had to work), stopping at Anvers for some chocolate tasting and then for a little more cheese tasting at Ashgrove again!!
I love playing with the kids at the rocket park, and the secret to get up allot of speed on this slide is to make sure you lift up your feet and hands!!

The boys had no lucky on that slide even though they lifted their feet and hands. Will have to try it again another time.
