The uniform colour of the boards certainly has improved how we feel about the kitchen. Does not look all that unfinished now. Okay Tam, choose a colour for those tiles! I am sure to get a break now, although I plan to take a couple of days next week to sort it. Probably could get it done Monday (public holiday) if we had a tile store open.

Kitchen splash backs
After a month or two break from doing any work on the kitchen we are now back into it. My excuse was awaiting the electrical work to be done and since that was done this week I was left without argument, when Tam raised the activity. It is funny that she reminds me that I always leave jobs unfinished and then started on the list. Guilty! Well into round two and I am sure there will be a round three yet (floor$).
Last kick board and end panel, left from last time as I did not have the tools to plane the boards. Thanks to Simon for his use of tools I could complete this little task.
The splash backs are going to be tiles and as the plaster board was a mess we needed to put up some cement sheeting. It took most of Saturday but worked out okay. I was actually dreading this lot as the profiles are a bit fiddly with architraves and power points to cut round/out but it turned out okay. I thing the measure twice and cut once had a bit to do with it too.
