2008 Easter Youth Convention - Awesome!

Good Friday the Devonport Stake (Northern part of Tasmania) youth set off to Hobart for the Easter youth convention. Based on the scriptural theme of Mosiah 5:15 "Be steadfast and immovable, always abounding in good works" and a sub theme based on Folklore, Fairytales and Fables we enjoyed a full weekend of activity including:
  • Speach & Dram Festival
  • Dance
  • Service Project
  • Sporting activities
  • Semi-formal dinner
  • Workshops
  • Testimony meeting
  • Easter fireside
  • Swimming

Whilst it was a lot of fun the most important aspect is that our youth strengthen testimony and build meaningful relationships with their peers. There was no shortage of feeling the Spirit of the Holy Ghost as we participated together. The Hobart Stake leadership did a super job and our leadership got to participate in meaningful ways too. There were about 72 in all which may be a bit on the small size demographically but these youth are amongst the best I am aquainted with.

Tam spent a good part of Thursday knocking it up for him.

They had earnt a bit of rest by then.
