Missionary Moments

This week Jakob wrote......

........We ride a bit less here, as it's not quite as big an area as Katsura. We spent a lot more time inside actually, because it takes us a long time to prepare for lessons and things, as language is still lacking. Although as a 3rd and 6th transfer missionary companionship have no real excuses now.......
The weather has cooled down a bit over the last few days. It rained Friday, Saturday morning and was really heavy on Sunday. We slept without the air con on, which was first in a while. Did you know they don't have air conditioners in the US? As in the type we have, heat pump style. Every house in japan has one though (they need it). Hopefully weather will continue to cool, but not rain too much, as it makes everything more difficult.
Saturday night we were riding along the river and were swamped in a crowd of people. Found out they were having a massive fireworks show, so we went along to see it, it was awesome. The fireworks were crazy. This is the second fireworks show I've seen in this area. So hopefully more to come. The Japanese seem to take any excuse to hold a fireworks display......
