Life goes on.... we have all been gradually adjusting to not having Jakob at home..... Henry has claimed his room and we have discovered that we are not using as much milk?? Not yet sure of the other groceries yet..... We miss him and at times it seems OK and then at other times it feels strange. ..
Just thought I would share some happy snaps of the other kids.
Let's begin with the many faces of Lilly
Gorgeous Katie
ever colourful Aneika
The man with the locks - Nathan
And Henry wasn't going to be a part of photos so I thought I would add his school photo we received this week :)
Missionary Moment
This photo was taken the Sunday before Jakob left, three amazing young men together
Jakob has settled in well to the Provo MTC but isn't really liking the American food. He is gradually learning the Japanese language and is getting used to the routine of the days. Here's a beautiful moment that he shared in his last email...
I would like to relate a story also. So the Tuesday that I was at the MTC, when we had the intake of internationals (all 36 or so of us) we were left to our own devices. Elder Tai who I mentioned, from Japan, loves to sing, and he's really good. We were flicking through hymns and trying some out. I sang better than I thought I could usually. But then Elder Visconti from France and Elder Martinez from Spain came over, and Elder Mauhalin (i think that's how you say it) from Finland. Elder Visconti doesn't speak English, but hummed a hymn he wanted us to sing. I recognized the tune and found it, and then we all began to sing at once in Japanese, French, Spanish and English. It was wonderful. They Hymns are all the same and the spirit that music brings. It made us much closer....
