Cradle Mountain

To finish off the school holidays, last Friday, we thought we would head to Cradle Mountain for the day and walk around Dove Lake. However after the lovely sunny winter weather at the beginning of the second week of holidays, the end was a bit  wet, but we thought we would still go. It wasn't raining too bad, just a steady drizzle, that gradually dwindled until at the end of the walk it had fined up quite well.

Check out the size of the puddle, there were many, many more of these, and in some parts the track had turned into a stream.

Lilly and the boys took off at a run as usual and Katie walked with Jason and I at a steadier pace.

This part of the walk was called the 'Ballroom Forest', The scenery at Dove Lake is beautiful even in the wet :)

There was allot of water streaming down the sides of the mountain, it would of been  nice to do some of the other walks around the lake, but the weather certainly had other ideas.
