A great week

This week had been full of blessings for the kids, with achievements, adventures and progress

My boys always make me smile when they are together. The friendship they share as brothers is fantastic,... They wrestle, they have fun, they hang out and they help each other. What I think is the best is that they look out for each other,.... Henry is soon to turn 12, this is an age that he has been looking forward to for a while. As part of the programmes at church that means he is able to be part of the youth programme that is for youth 12 - 18 years. That means he will be able to participate in all the great things his brothers do. This week he received his first official invite, and he was wrapped.... Lilly of course lost her first front tooth and has been practicing all the different ways you can put food or drink through the hole in her mouth. Lilly is a bit of a tomboy at heart and loves to hang out with her brothers. You often hear them asking who her favourite brother is of the day.... and she plays them so well!! She wrestle them, plays lego with them, plays computer games with them and just loves them. The sweetest thing is when Jakob or Nathan leave for school in the morning and she hugs them and makes them bend down for a kiss so they will have a good day. Henry on the other hand because he is still at primary school with her gets hugged in the playground...

Nathan is growing up, not fast but steady and quietly in his own time. He amazed me this week with a few things. For grade 9/10 sport he was chosen as usual for computing as he would much prefer to be at the computer than running around. But, he came home this week to inform me that the Hockey team needed more players and he decided he would play....

Interim reports came out last week and I was pleased with Nathan's, but he came home this week with a gold award for his outstanding performance on his report! Needless to say I was excited for him...
One of Jakob's courses in year 11 is adventure rec, and this week in that lovely wet weather we had, he went camping at Lake Rowallan.

I expected him to come home half frozen and sick, but he came home absolutely pumped and said it was fantastic! It was freezing and at night he put on every item of clothing he had, but he loved the white water rafting they did. He said there were three stages and allot of the others gave up because they were too tired and frozen, but he did the lot. I think he has gotten himself a taste for adventure...
Katie this week was elected to student parliament by her class and was so happy. It's wonderful to see her enjoying school so much and always trying to do her best...
