Currumbim

Today our last full day in Queensland we had a vote between going to Dreamworld or Currumbin wildlife sanctuary, and Currumbin won.
The boys and Jason took part in the Segway tour and loved it. They all said it was great fun using their bodies to drive these cool two wheeler machines, going around the whole park.

While they were doing their tour the girls and I went to view some of the wildlife. We checked out the snakes and other reptiles. Then found a cool little train to go around in to view the whole park. The girls thought it was great fun.

These lizards were everywhere. You had to be careful not to tread on them and when we stopped for lunch they sat under the table waiting for the food we dropped. They were worse than seagulls, we ended up sitting on the table as they looked as if they were going to grab our shoes as well, and some of them were quite large.

Jason, Jakob, Henry and Katie-Lynne took part in the Green Challenge. Which is a treetop adventure with varying levels. We were going to do it together but Lilly was too small by about 5cm and she was devastated. Nathan said he would stay with me to keep her company but also I think that it may be because he doesn't like heights.

Katie-Lynne was tall enough but she looked so tiny up their amongst the tree tops clipping herself on and off these wires.

Jakob was a pro and made it all the way through all the levels. He said when he was on the last level as long as he didn't think about high he was he was fine.

Henry thought it was great too, but also really hot in the gear you had to wear for safety

Lilly forgot about her disappointment when she discovered the kangaroos, and that she could actually pat them.

While the others were on the Green Challenge Nathan, Lilly and I also checked out the reptile show, this guy - a monitor lizard - was huge.

We did find an adventure playground for Lilly to climb with others. Which helped her to forget her disappointment from earlier.

And also a crocodile to hug.

To sit on.

And of course to stick your head in it's mouth.

Lilly and Katie-Lynne continually wanted to go back to the kangaroos. And loved it when they could buy some food and were able to feed them.

They also got to hold a baby crocodile. The boys weren't keen on having a hold, but the girls and Jason, decided to give it a try. Please note he does have his mouth taped shut.

Found this cute Koala on our way out. It was really nice that he decided to be kind and pose for my photo.
