Holidays

Summer holidays so far have been full of a mixed variety of activities and events. With Henry unwell with school sores on his face (where did he got those... there's no school right now!), we have been limited to what we can do and where we can go.

So here's a few events of the past week...

    1. On the 2nd of January my sister Penny and husband Chris, gave birth to their fourth son and fifth child - William Chayne. Chris didn't want their new baby to share his birthday with a holiday so it was nice that he waited until the 2nd to make his appearance.

2. With not being able to go to swimming pools around town we had to drag out the old slip and slide. Even with the kids growing up, they still had fun playing on it. especially when they covered it in bubble bath!

3. Katie-Lynne found her butterfly net and has spent quite a bit of time chasing butterflies and moths around the backyard.

4. We also set up the table tennis table outside, and Lilly loved it determined to take us all on and hit that ball. The only problem was that when it was windy the table tennis ball didn't always go exactly where you intended it to.

5. Jason has been on holidays, and has spent quite a bit of time with his new Ipad, as well as spending time with us all.

6. Katie-Lynne received from Oma and Pop for Christmas this activity centre called 'Bendaroo', and all the kids have enjoyed bending and twisting these waxed strings into all types of creations.
7. We spent Thursday at Bridport, hoping that it would also benefit Henry's face.
Jason and Jakob rode their bikes from Pipers River store, as when we go to Bridport in two weeks they want to ride all the way from Launceston. So they wanted some practice to see what the roads were like.
