Sports Carnivals

In the middle of my crazy life at the moment Lilly, Katie-Lynne and Henry had their sports carnivals. This past week has been study week for uni in preparation for exams which began yesterday (I had my first exam - sociology - at 9am on Saturday - and have two more to go this coming week). But nothing is more important than watching your kids do their best at their sports carnival...
Thursday was the junior sports carnival for Lilly and the weather was freezing!!! By the time it finished I was numb. She ran well, I did'nt take many photos though as I was too busy get all the action on the video camera so we could all watch the replay later. The photo of Lilly in the sack says it all. The little kids were all shivering away and then Lilly hopped in the sack for the sack race and said to me 'hey mum its warm in here!'

On Friday was Katie-Lynne's and Henry's sports carnival and the weather was great!! Once again I was busy with the video camera and only have a photo of Katie-Lynne to show. Here she is doing her best in the 800m, it was the first time she had run a race of this length, but she plugged on and kept running where many gave up. What Katie-Lynne lacks in height she certainly made up in determination, and had a go at every race she could. Henry on the other hand being the wise experienced senior school runner knew exactly what races he was running in and no one could convince him to do anymore!!
