A productive Saturday

It is rare that I get much achieved on a Saturday. I think Tam was pleasantly surprised to have me pull out the stops and get a bit done. Not only did we remove the kitchen overhead cupboards but Jakob and I replaced a section of the fence that had fallen apart at the back of the garden (protecting the raspberries).

I should have known to have stopped at that but whilst I was at it I bought a replacement door handle to fix up the boys bedroom door. I am a bit embarrassed to say but I was not so good on this particular job. I followed the instructions only to find my self trapped in the boys room with a door handle that did nothing. After raising up a din @%^^(for 15 minutes) and seriously considering kicking the door in I was rescued with the assistance of Jakob. It is now working but not quite as it ought to. I think it is time to do some TAFE courses on basic home maintenance!

This does not instil confidence in proceeding with a DIY kitchen makeover!
