Missionary Moments

This week was pretty good, we got a lot of things done, and visited some further out places. My goal of the week was to find some Brazilians, because they are awesome, but we didn't. We did find lots of other people though. We went to Takahash, which is the city which is a 30 minute train ride north, again. We decided to try housing a bit, and in the end got 2 new investigators, a couple of return appointments, a handful of PI's and a lot of good friendly conversation. If every 2 hour block of finding was like that, I think we will be hitting African standards in our investigator and baptism rate (Africa is the new Brazil). Needless to say, we will be back this week, hopefully cementing the people and getting even more. Our Bishop also lives up there, and said we can use his place anytime....
On Saturday we rode to a city in-between Kurashiki and Takahashi, it was maybe an hour and a bit ride. We had heard that there were a lot of Brazilians there, so we went to check, but also visit a Less active and her non member family. We visited the family first and the Mum ..... and daughter were just about to start teaching their ECC class (Private English tutor stuff that can be done in the home). They were overjoyed to see us and then a little nervously asked if we could maybe participate in a bit of the class. We ended up staying for both the classes they had that day, catering to about 6 kids. From what I heard it is pretty expensive to enroll kids in stuff like that. An easier service project I don't know, but now that everyone knows she has two natives on call, her class will probably get a lot more popular. I think they are already making enough to live off, and this is just a Mum activity they do from the home. .....
We had interviews this week. I used mine to get a temple recommend renewed, to find out that it only lasts 90 days after I come home. .....it is nice to carry it around and know that I could go to the temple straightaway if I needed too. .....
I haven't been given the date for my flight home. Elder Y. is leaving when I do, and he said the 10th of April, but he is just heading up to Tokyo, so maybe I will be different. They rang me last week asking for which airport I want and stuff. Scary. I would rather not think about all that now.
..... I want to take the boys camping, probably bring the old man along too, sometime in those holidays, if I can. So I can breathe that clean Tasmanian air and experience the out-doors full on again.
