So here is how the conversation went two weeks ago at a family meeting before I began my 16 week practical placement for social work.
Mum - "So no one is to get sick for 16 weeks"
Kids - "Don't worry mum we won't and we'll all help"
Then the dreaded flu hit our household! Four kids have succumbed with Lilly missing nearly 2 weeks off school already. So life has become a juggling act of who can look after whom. It certainly helps that some of the sick victims are old enough to look after the younger ones, and that Jason has been able to work from home for a couple of days.
Needless to say I feel like a bad mum, especially when Lilly calls me on Friday to ask me when I was coming home :( Although to keep her occupied I asked her to draw a picture of something that made her happy... and well she drew me... so that makes me feel like a good mum :)

Next time,I reckon a little reverse psychology…tell them all to get sick….and they probably will (not!) anyway….hope you are all better now..and school went well...
