Excursion, Ninja?? and Death Mask...

Lilly is loving Prep. Her Teacher Mrs.Leedham is fantastic and this term they have had some great excursions and events while they have been looking at healthy bodies. So much so that Lilly has counted down the sleeps to each one.
About two weeks ago her class went to the hospital and then to the new Aquatic Centre, (they had to have an adult for every two children in the class for the pool), I went along to the pool and and fun with her class in the water.
Then Tuesday they walked to Woolies supermarket and had a tour out the back and got a donut, fruit, a hair net and a green bag (so exciting!!) and then stopped at Maccas on the way back. (I met them at Maccas).
Then today they had breakfast at school. Lilly was so excited that they were having a cafe breakfast at school! Mrs. Leedham asked them to get to school as close to 8:30 as possible and they wrote letters to invite their parents. They had set it up the day before with name tags at their seats and there was fruit, cereal, toast and juice. The kids ate and chattered for ages. Very cute....
Lilly with her supermarket goodies....

Today after school Lilly disappeared into her bedroom and I could hear music playing. I went in and found her dressed in her ballet clothes and dancing, (so sweet). Then a little later at the tea table looking so cute she says to her dad "I'm going to chop you up!". She also spent time roughing up her brothers.... Could she just be a Ninja in disguise??

One subject Aneika is studying this year is art. Their latest project has been to design a mask. Aneika said it was something she didn't really want to do and all the girls were making there's pretty with glitter and stuff.... so what did she do?? Designs a death mask... well at least it's original!!

What a great teacher! Interactive community learning is so much better than staying in the class room all day. But ewwwww...that death mask looks scary! It reminds me of the ones in the Melbourne Gaol. They really creeped me out. lol!
